We count it a Joy to have you share with us on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. We are the "First Church" of Hilton Head Island, established in the year of our Lord, 1862. Our website was designed with you in mind and we pray that you are blessed bountifully. On our site you can learn about the rich Gullah culture and history of this wonderful fellowship of the First African Baptist Church in HHI. Our mission at First African is to offer Christ to every man, woman, boy and girl. We extend a hearty welcome whenever you are in or near Hilton Head Island, South Carolina to join us in our worship service.

Our worship experience begins with Sunday School at 9:00am each Sunday followed by morning worship at 10:00am each Sunday. On the third Sunday of each month we observe The Lord's Supper.

We have been on the move for Christ for many years and we are still enjoying the journey. Our church family awaits to worship and serve with you as we travel up the king's highway.
